Call for nominations, California Council of the Blind Convention Awards
The California Council of the Blind (CCB) invites nominations for its annual Convention Awards. These awards recognize individuals, organizations, and leaders whose service, advocacy, and leadership advance the rights, opportunities, and independence of people who are blind or visually impaired. For a full list of categories, please consult the convention info email. For any questions, please contact:

Pursuant to the CCB Bylaws, resolutions must be submitted 30 days prior to the CCB convention. Thus, to be considered at the 2026 Convention, we must receive resolutions by March 31, 2026. Please send resolutions to either Gabe Griffith at:

You are cordially invited to attend our Glendale-Burbank Social on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Foothill Service Club for the Blind located at 117 East
Los Feliz Road, Glendale, CA 91205. The cross street is South Brand Blvd. This building is located across from the Subaru dealership and next door to a
retirement home.
Time: 11:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. Please arrange your rides to pick you up from the Club no later than 2:30 P.M.
Vegetarian menu consists of mashed potatoes, corn, and green beans along with a dinner roll. Dessert choices are lemon cake, chocolate cake, and plain
cake.
The nonvegetarian choice is baked chicken: choose one: two wings, two legs, one thigh, or one chicken breast. Choice of mashed potatoes and corn, or mashed
potatoes and green beans. You also may have corn and green beans and chicken without mashed potatoes. One dinner roll included. Same dessert choices, chocolate
cake, lemon cake or plain cake.
Same beverage choices: Coke Zero, Coke, Sprite, Orange, and tea.
Total price: twenty-five dollars.
